C1305 Code: Meaning, Causes, and Symptoms | OBD2 Codes
C1305 – Longitudinal Accelerometer Signal Fault
C1305 Possible Symptoms
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Warning Light ON,Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
C1305 Possible Causes
Faulty Accelerometer/Sensor Cluster,Accelerometer/Sensor Cluster harness is open or shorted,Accelerometer/Sensor Cluster circuit poor electrical connection,Faulty Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module
The longitudinal accelerometer is contained in the sensor cluster. The sensor cluster measures the vehicle acceleration and deceleration and then sends the signal over the controller area network (CAN) communication lines to the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module. Voltage is supplied by the circuit. The ground is provided through the circuit. The CAN communication is transmitted through the circuit.
