C1023 Description

During normal operation the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) continually monitors and adjusts the steering efforts based on torque sensor inputs to enhance the steering feel. Adjustments are made based on the torque sensor inputs to reduce the effect of pull or drift that may be experienced when driving on roads with a high degree of camber or induced by outside influences. If the level of compensation required to keep the vehicle driving straight ahead exceeds a predetermined level a DTC will be set.
