C1116 Possible Causes

Faulty Stop Lamp Switch,Stop Lamp Switch harness is open or shorted,Stop Lamp Switch circuit poor electrical connection,Faulty ABS Actuator and Electric Unit

C1116 Description

The stop lamp switch transmits the stop lamp switch signal (ON/OFF) to the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Actuator and Electric Unit (Control Unit) monitors the Stop Lamp Switch. The ABS Actuator and Electric Unit set the OBDII code when the Stop Lamp Switch is not to factory specifications.
