P1CAE FIAT Description

 

This diagnostic checks for the proper response of the gear shift actuator 2nd-4th to the Transmission Controller Module (TCM) disengage command. The gear shift actuator 2nd-4th is controlled by the TCM via the electrovalves PPV1 and PPV2. This diagnostic checks the position sensor 2nd-4th output to confirm that the gear shift actuator 2nd-4th has moved to the proper position when it is controlled by the TCM and that the gear has been disengaged
