B1B72 CHRYSLER Description

The number 1 side impact sensors are located in the B-pillar area just past the 1st row doors The impact sensors perform their own self-test using power supplied by the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) then communicates this status back to the ORC with periodic updates. The impact sensor performs a self test for internal circuitry at power up during the initialization process, and continuously through the ignition cycle every 10 ms.
