Faulty Thermo-Electric Device (TED) Assembly,Thermo-Electric Device (TED) Assembly harness is open or shorted,Thermo-Electric Device (TED) Assembly circuit poor electrical connection,Faulty Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM)

 

B1111 LINCOLN Description

 

The seat cushion and backrest are equipped with a Thermo-Electric Device (TED) Assembly that includes a seat blower (fan motor, serviced as an assembly with the TED). When the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) detects an overcurrent and/or overtemperature in the output circuits to the TEDs, it will disable the affected seat and set the following DTCs: DTC B1111 (Driver Thermal Electric Device Control Overtemperature Fault) if the DCSM TED driver integrated circuit temperature exceeds 175??? (347???), the DCSM shuts down the driver seat system and sets this DTC.
