B1909 KIA Description

 

The Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFLS) provides the driver with the best visibility by adjusting the vertical direction of the headlamp. AFLS(Adaptive Front-Lighting System) drive Leveling Actuator-Intelligent Stepper Motor for adjusting up and down, and Swivel Actuator for adjusting right and left side. It consists of AFLS ECU, Leveling Actuator-Intelligent Stepper Motor, Swivel Actuator, Headlamp switch, Height sensor(not applied to ECS). Height sensor input information of vehicle’s altitude to AFLS ECU. Height sensor consists of rotor, stator, PCB coil, sensor lever. The height sensor is not-contact point type sensor use lever’s movements angle that measures formed the magnetic field at around stator by rotator’s revolution.
